Abhishek Bachchan reflects on learning thoughtful lesson from father Amitabh Bachchan
Abhishek Bachchan has expressed admiration for his father Amitabh Bachchan as he reflects on learning a thoughtful lesson from the 1975 film Deewaar.
In an exclusive interview with Forbes India, the Dhoom actor shared how a particular scene from the film changed his perspective on business decisions.
Emphasizing the value of emotion and heart in real-world investments, the versatile actor said, “What that taught me was that there was emotion behind the business, it wasn’t just about the balance sheet. And that became an integral part of my decision-making. If your heart isn’t in it, then what’s the point of doing it?”
In addition, Bachchan also spoke about his fondness for businesses like Swiggy and Zepto.
While discussing his investments in convenient products, the Guru star explained what drew him to their business models.
He added, “I’ve said this before, they got me my misal pav on time. It’s very simple: I enjoyed using the product. It benefited me in my day-to-day life and made things a lot easier, which is exactly what all of you are doing so wonderfully, making life so convenient for us. And that’s literally why I really liked it. So I said, ‘Hey guys, can I be involved in any way?’ And they were kind enough to allow me to.”
On the professional front, the actor is currently gearing up for major theatrical releases, including Raja Shivaji, King, and Dhoom 4.
