Dharma Productions postpones ‘Chand Mera Dil’ title track after Asha Bhosle’s death
Dharma Productions has postponed the release of the title track of Chand Mera Dil because of Asha Bhosle's death. The song, which features Ananya Panday and Lakshya was supposed to release on April 13.
The decision comes as Asha last rites are scheduled to occur on the same day. Announcing the postponement the production house shared a statement which explained their decision to postpone the project.
The statement read, “In honour of a legacy that has shaped generations and with deep respect for the passing of the legendary Asha Bhosle, we are pushing the release of the Chand Mera Dil title track by a day. This decision has been made as a mark of heartfelt respect and remembrance for Asha Bhosle, whose lasting impact on music continues to inspire generations.”
Asha Bhosle died at Breach Candy Hospital because of cardiac and respiratory problems after reaching the age of 92.
Her health had declined during the previous months which led to her emergency hospitalization when she arrived at the hospital in critical condition before doctors moved her to the Intensive Care Unit on Saturday night. The family announced her death occurred on Sunday afternoon and her final rites would happen the next day in Mumbai.
