Asha Bhosle died at the age of 92 on April 12 2026. Her death shocked everyone and people shared tributes on social media platforms.

The production team for Riteish Deshmukh's Raja Shivaji announced that they will postpone the Chhatrapati    song release which was set for April 13 to honor the music icon.

The production of Raja Shivaji made a statement regarding this in their social media channels.

It read, "The voice that ruled our hearts for decades has fallen silent today. With the passing of the legendary Asha Bhosle, we mourn the loss of a golden chapter in music. As a mark of respect, we are postponing the release of the Raja Shivaji anthem, Chhatrapati.  A new date will be announced soon."

Riteish Deshmukh serves as both director and lead actor in the movie which he created. The film shows the life story of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who established the Maratha Empire.

Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh as Saibai together with Sanjay Dutt and Abhishek Bachchan and Mahesh Manjrekar and Sachin Khedekar and Bhagyashree and Fardeen Khan and Jitendra Joshi and Amole Gupte star in the film.

His forthcoming movie Raja Shivaji is to be released on May 1, 2026.
