Anne Hathaway turned heads at the New York premiere of Mother Mary, stepping out in a sheer white ensemble as she kicked off the film’s press tour.

The appearance comes as the Hollywood A-lister balances multiple high-profile projects, including her return to The Devil Wears Prada franchise alongside a new, darker role on screen.

Hathaway stars opposite Michaela Coel in the A24-backed psychological drama, where she plays a global pop star navigating a personal crisis. The project has already drawn attention for its stylised tone and fashion-led storytelling.

At the New York City premiere on Monday, April 13, Hathaway leaned into subtle method dressing, opting for a custom Lever Couture gown crafted from layered, shimmering sheer fabric. She paired the look with metallic Christian Louboutin heels, keeping the styling in line with the film’s theatrical aesthetic.
