Krushna and Govinda's family feud finally cools after years
Krushna Abhishek, Kashmera Shah, and Sunita Ahuja appeared together on the 'Laughter Chef' set
A long-running family dispute in Indian television seems finally be easing, after a surprise meeting on a comedy show set brought smiles, jokes and a public hug.
Comedian Krushna Abhishek, his wife Kashmera Shah, and Sunita Ahuja appeared together on the sets of Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment Season 3 in Mumbai.
The moment, shared widely online, showed the three laughing and embracing, a scene few expected after years of tension.
The feud, linked closely to actor Govinda and his family, had stretched over more than a decade, often spilling into interviews and headlines.
But on Wednesday, things changed. “14 saal ke baad aaj vanvaas khatam hua hai (After 14 years, our exile has ended today),” Sunita said, drawing laughter.
The 42-year-old laughed along, while Kashmera added, “Ab kisi aur ka shuru hoga (Now, someone else’s will begin)”.
The mood stayed playful. “Kis kis ki jalegi, bhagwan hi jane (Only God knows who all would be jealous),” Sunita added.
The comedian later called it unexpected. “This was a big surprise. We did not know that she will join the show today. Thanks to her for agreeing to do this. With this, we have ended all speculations or rumours which made headlines in the last 12 years."
The rift between Krushna Abhishek and Govinda began when the 62-year-old Bollywood star did not like the jokes made about him on TV. Sunita also stayed away from Krushna and his family.
Over time, the matter became public. Krushna said Govinda did not visit his children in hospital, while Govinda called him a liar.
In 2024, Sunita also refused to join The Kapil Sharma Show because Krushna and Kashmera were part of it.
