Assi will make its digital debut on Hindi ZEE5 after it achieved success during its theatrical release by generating discussions and receiving critical praise.

The movie Assi which Anubhav Sinha directed and Benaras Media Works and T-Series Films produced features an exceptional cast that includes Taapsee Pannu, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Kani Kusruti, Revathy, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Naseeruddin Shah, Supriya Pathak and Seema Pahwa.

The courtroom drama presents a powerful performance through Taapsee role as a lawyer who investigates a brutal rape case and addresses both the offense and the societal negligence that follows.

The film presents its main story through a scene which shows a disturbing truth that almost 80 rape cases occur each day. The movie depicts the experiences of a survivor and her partner Kani Kusruti and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub who encounter violence and then handle their emotional distress and the public's judgment and a harsh judicial system.

The film Assi focuses on the increasing sexual assaults and judicial delays to reveal the hidden emotional and social effects that accompany these incidents.

The film presents its story in an unprocessed form while depicting a courtroom scene which shows how crime affects people because it requires them to show strength and remain silent. The movie's truthful portrayal of deep emotions moved theater audiences and now it seeks to establish international reach through ZEE5.
