Hard rock band 'Scorpions' cancels all four scheduled concerts in India
The veteran rock band canceled shows after health issues affected a member
The Scorpions have cancelled a string of upcoming concerts in India due to “unforeseen medical circumstances,” the band confirmed in a statement.
All four scheduled stops on the group’s “Coming Home” tour April 21 in Shillong, April 24 in Delhi-NCR, April 26 in Bengaluru and April 30 in Mumbai have been called off after health issues affected members of the band. No further details were provided on who is unwell.
“The band are very keen to perform in India when possible and within their schedule,” the statement read adding that ticket holders will receive refunds within seven to ten days.
The cancellations follow previous health setbacks for the group. Frontman Klaus Meine had to cancel shows last year after suffering a respiratory infection that impacted his voice.
On the other hand drummer Mikkey Dee was diagnosed with sepsis in 2024 leading to further postponed dates.
Frontman Meine previously described their Vegas shows as “pure rock ‘n’ roll joy” adding that the band is eager to return and reconnect with fans.
