Judy Reyes has shared a personal moment from the set of the Scrubs reboot, revealing her son’s excitement at meeting one of her co-stars.

The actor spoke about the experience while attending PaleyFest LA at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, where the returning cast gathered to discuss the upcoming revival.

Reyes said her teenage son, who watched the full series twice during the COVID pandemic, was especially eager to meet Michael James Scott. 

“He was so excited to meet Michael James Scott, who performs in Aladdin,” she said, explaining that her son is a fan of the stage musical. She recalled his reaction: “Oh my God, I'm so excited to meet you.”

Scott, known for playing the Genie in Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway and other global productions, appears in the reboot as Nurse Francois Dubois. 

Reyes added that the meeting quickly turned into a friendship, noting, “They’re besties now. They follow each other on Instagram.”

The actress also reflected on how her role as Carla Espinosa has boosted her standing among her son’s peers. 

“The kids in school love it. I'm so cool to his friends,” she said, adding that her son often sets the benchmark for what resonates with younger audiences.

The Scrubs reboot, also referred to as season 10, marks a return for several original cast members as the series revisits its long-running medical comedy legacy.
