Rakul teases Jackky Bhagnani over ‘situationship’ remark
Rakul Preet Singh shared a light Instagram stories video after her husband's remarks went viral
What started as a single word in a long conversation has now become a social media moment, with actor Rakul Preet Singh choosing humour over frustration.
The 35-year-old actor shared a light Instagram Stories video after her husband, producer Jackky Bhagnani, described their marriage as a “situationship” during a recent interview.
The word quickly caught attention online and sparked debate.
In the clip posted on Saturday, the Boo actress playfully called him out.
She said, “Kitne baar bola hai isko, that we are millennials, Gen Z banne ki zarurat nahi hain! Bola tha na (I have told you so many times that we are millennials, and there is no need to be a Gen Z. Didn't I)?”
Standing beside her, Jackky smiled and apologised. “Kar diya na tumne (See what has happened now)?” he said, adding, “Magar maine aise nahi bola tha (But I had not intended it in that way)!”
He replied, “I know, but the world needs to know! But theek hai (it is okay).”
The Check actor added that they decided to laugh since social media wasn’t stopping.
Her caption read, “Ho gaya aap log ka bhi ab (Are you guys done too? Now) laugh about it and move on.”
Earlier, she had shared a note saying one line from a long chat was taken out of context.
The Cuttputlli star said, “We had a great laugh today about how one line from an hour-long conversation can suddenly become the headline. Funny... until it’s not. Context matters. Nuance matters.”
Rakul and Jackky had been together for around three years before getting married on February 21, 2024, in Goa.
