The Prime Minister of Pakistan has shared good news for PSL XI
Pakistan Super League’s eleventh tournament is nearing its end.
The event was held midst of ongoing regional conflict with Pakistan mediating negotiation talks between US and Iran.
Amid the conflict, the matches were announced to be held behind closed doors without spectators.
However, as per the new announcement, the final four matches includingf the final will be held with live crowd.
The news was confirmed by Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi on April 27 after a meeting with Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif.
Taking to X, Mohsin Naqvi wrote “Just had a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and I’m pleased to share that we have secured his approval for public attendance in all three PSL playoff matches as well.”
However, the chairman added a cautionary note for the fans who plan to attend the games.
He said the decision “comes with an important condition from his side that fans are strongly encouraged to use public transport or minimise fuel consumption while attending the matches, in line with the ongoing national austerity efforts”.
The final will be played on Sunday, May 3 in Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
