'Aakhri Sawal' trailer faces delay over censor clearance

The release of the trailer for Aakhri Sawal was delayed after it faced censor clearance issues, according to reports from Indian media.
The film, starring Sanjay Dutt, was earlier expected to release its trailer on April 30. However, the makers had to pause the rollout as approval from the Central Board of Film Certification( CBFC) was still pending.
A source quoted in Bollywood Hungama said, “The trailer has now been postponed due to pending censor clearance.” The report also mentioned that the censors had asked for certain changes before giving approval.
The teaser of the film had already been released earlier and it showed key characters discussing historical events and major national debates. It also highlighted sensitive references that shaped public attention around the project.
Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Abhijeet Mohan Warang, the project had been presented as a political courtroom drama inspired by historical events.
Under the production company Nikhil Nanda Motion Pictures which Nikhil Nanda and Sanjay established Aakhri Sawal features a star-studded cast that includes Amit Sadh, Namashi Chakraborty, Sameera Reddy, Tridha Choudhury and Neetu Chandra.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt’s upcoming slate also included discussions around his next project Khalnayak Returns.
