Actor-Comedian Munawar Faruqui and his wife Mehzabeen Faruqui have welcomed their first child, a baby girl.

On Friday, the winner of Big Boss season 17  shared the news on Instagram alongside pictures of the mother and daughter, while keeping their faces hidden.

Sharing the joyful life update, he wrote, "Ghar barkat aayi. Blessed. Alhmdulillah. Dua mai khas yaad rakhe !"

The announcement received warm and congratulatory messages from friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry.

Filmmaker Farah Khan wrote, "Arre wah !! Blessings for ur lil angel," Varun Dhawan commented, "Congratulations bhai."Aly Goni wrote, "Allhamdulillah." Gauahar Khan commented, "Mabrook. Allah hifazat kare.” Ranveer Allahbadia said, “Badhaiiiii ho bhai."

Other celebrities including Mr Faisu, Mahhi Vij, Poonam Pandey, Digvijay Rathee and others also sent love to the new parents.

Munawar tied the knot with make-up artist Mehzabeen Coatwala in May 2024. 

The wedding was kept completely private, with no social media posts or official announcement from the couple at the time.

The marriage came to light only after a fan leaked details online, and actor Hina Khan was seen attending the ceremony. 

Munawar was previously married and has a son from his former wife, with whom he continues to co-parent their child.

On the other hand, Mehzabeen, according to reports, also has a 10-year-old daughter.
