NBC has pulled the plug on mockumentary comedy Stumble, cancelling the series after just one season, as per Variety.

Centered on junior college cheerleading, Stumble starred Jenn Lyon as a once-renowned coach who loses her job after a scandal involving alcohol and her team, only to land at a small Oklahoma college where she sets her sights on a national title.

The series premiered in November, with what now stands as its final episode aired in March.

While the series earned generally favorable reviews, it couldn’t pull in the viewership needed to continue beyond its initial run.

The sitcom also starred Single Parents star Taran Killam.

Additional cast members included Ryan Pinkston, Jarrett Austin Brown, Anissa Borrego, Arianna Davis, Taylor Dunbar, and Georgie Murphy.

Kristin Chenoweth also appeared on the show in a recurring role.

Written and executive produced by Jeff Astrof and Liz Astrof, Stumble also had Jeff Blitz on board as director of multiple episodes, including the pilot, and executive producer.

Joining the executive producing team were Dana Honor and Monica Aldama, while Universal Television served as the studio behind the series.
