Anne Hathaway discloses favourite 'Devil Wears Prada' outfit cut from film
'Devil Wears Prada 2' earns stunning amount of $233M on opening weekend
Anne Hathaway discussed the evolution of her character and the creative decisions behind the fashion choices in The Devil Wears Prada 2.
The 43-year-old actress has returned as Andy Sachs after 20 years for the sequel of her 2006 classic movie.
Anne reunited with old pals Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci for the new entry, which is breaking records at the box office.
While addressing the creative decisions, The Intern star disclosed that there was one of the outfits that she really loved while filming the movie, but it was edited out in the final cut.
Hathaway explained, “I don't know, it was a garment, more than anything else.”
It was a Phoebe Philo design, and Anne loved it so much. Unfortunately, it didn’t make to the final cut.
The Interstellar star, while speaking at the European premiere of the Devil Wears Prada 2, recalled telling the director David Frankel that it was her favourite outfit in the film.
“And (director) David called me – I hadn’t seen the film yet – and he’s like, ‘It’s gone’.”
However, Anne accepted the fact thinking, “Well, maybe it was good that the paparazzi were there (on set to photograph it.)”
The Devil Wears Prada 2 had a record-breaking opening weekend as it collected a stunning amount worth $233M worldwide.
