Actor and MP Kangana Ranaut, known for her outspoken nature,  has lost her cool over a viral meme that falsely linked her to a political figure.

On May 3, a meme page, Naughty World on Instagram, posted a false claim alleging that Kangana had agreed to marry Rahul Gandhi if he joined the BJP, after Raghav Chadha’s switch from the Aam Aadmi Party to the BJP.

The post, claimed the 39-year-old had said, “Agar Rahul Gandhi BJP join karenge toh main unse shaadi karne ke liye tayar hoon." The comment quickly spread online, especially after talk around Raghav Chadha and shifting political alliances.

The Fashion actress, however, firmly debunked the claims and set the record straight.

Reposting the meme on Instagram, she wrote, “How pathetic is this fake news. No dignity for women even in politics. Shame on those who are spreading this fake news."

Away from politics on the film front, the  Simran lead is balancing a packed schedule. She is currently working on a follow-up to her 2014 film Queen, with filmmaker Vikas Bahl leading the project.

Reports suggest the shoot is running on a tight timeline. “In the last 10 days, Kangana has been flying in and out of the city to attend Parliament sessions. There have been times when she went to Delhi for the day, came back at night, and shot till the next morning."

The new film is said to keep its theme of self-discovery but with a fresh story. “This time too, Rani is a small-town woman from North India, but her look is entirely different. The story traces how she comes into her own after a situation brings her to Mumbai," a source told Mid-Day.

Even its title has not officially been announced yet, with Queen Forever being under consideration.
