Bollywood actor Ameesha Patel’s journey back home from New York City hit an unexpected hurdle, leaving her in an uncertain situation.

The 50-year-old actor shared her stressful experience in a post on X after she got stuck at Dubai airport while waiting to reach Mumbai.

The Kaho Na Pyaar Hai star described the long and tiring wait at the airport, writing, “Been hours n hours at DUBAI airport !! And the wait continues …. Can’t wait to get home to MUMBAI.”

In another post, she shared a picture from the waiting lounge where an Emirates airplane was seen parked. She shared her thoughts as, "Been hours n hours at DUBAI airport !! And the wait continues …. Can’t wait to get home to MUMBAI."

In a third post related to her ordeal, she shared a picture with two others, which appeared to be captioned by one of them, writing, “24 hours from the time we left nyc and still counting hours to reach Mumbai. @djchetas @ameeshapatel9 . Dubai. Endless Airport lounge time”

Her post quickly caught the attention of fans, many of whom sympathised with her situation and shared similar travel experiences.

Flight delays have become an issue at busy international hubs like Dubai and several other airports in the Middle East due to ongoing tensions in the region between Iran and the United States.

On the work front, Ameesha was last seen in Gadar 2 (2023), which became one of the biggest blockbusters. 

Directed by Anil Sharma, the sequel to the 1997 super hit also starred the original lead Sunny Deol and Utkarsh Sharma in key roles.
