Sydney Sweeney has received heaps of praise from the creator of the hit show Euphoria.

Sam Levinson has been at the helm of the high-school drama since the first season came out in 2019.

The creator expressed his admiration for the young star, who plays the role of Cassie Howard.

Speaking at The Hollywood Reporter's Directors in Focus event, Sam opened up about working with the 28-year-old.

He said “What’s interesting is if you push it a little bit, she becomes brilliant.”

“You just do a few more takes, and she can reach these levels that are very honest emotionally, but also deeply funny. She’s able to anchor the scene with this kind of madness and chaos going on around her.”

Sam praised the Immaculate star for being adaptable.

The director also commented on Zendaya’s acting ability saying she has “the physicality” as an actor that “she’s able to move with such humour and tell a story.”

The duo is now starring in the season 3 of the show which feature Zendaya’s character Rue trapped in drug dealing and Cassie married to Nate, played by Jacob Elordi.
