Billie Eilish shares shocking experience from first media training class
The ‘CHIHIRO’ singer recalls horrors of media training at age 14
Billie Eilish shared the horrors she faced during her first and only media training session, ultimately turning the experience into a lesson.
During a conversation on the Tuesday, May 5, episode of Good Hang with Amy Poehler, the 24-year-old singer revealed that she had a meltdown during the session because it felt forced and went against her natural personality.
Eilish admitted that she was a "very strong-willed and very bossy" child, which later led her to be "very honest" in interviews early in her career.
"I did PR training when I was 14 and I sobbed through it. I hated it so much. It was literally like the scariest s*** of all time," she said.
The LUNCH hitmaker added, "I only did one session and it was under an hour, and I sobbed and I left, and I did not follow any of the rules after that."
She further explained that, because of her truthful nature, she used to respond with complete sincerity and honesty in interviews. However, she was repeatedly advised not to be so transparent, which eventually taught her to be more careful about how much she shared publicly.
"It was important for me to learn and I'm glad I learned it," the 10-time Grammy winner insisted.
