The scheduled release of Aakhri Sawal in cinemas on May 8 has become impossible because of censor certification issues. Our report from last week showed that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had not approved the trailer for public release.

The trailer remains unapproved by the Censor Board just like the movie.

A source told, “The nature of the film and its plot is such that the CBFC members are being cautious. The makers have explained to the CBFC committee that their film is based on historical events and records and hence deserves to be released. The discussions between the makers and the CBFC have taken a lot of time. Hence the producers of Aakhri Sawal felt that it would be wise to push the film to a later date.”

The source continued, “At present the makers are considering releasing their film on May 15. Of course this will be subject to receiving the censor certification on time. An announcement on the same can be expected soon once the hurdles are cleared.”

National Award-winning director Abhijeet Mohan Warang who created his work Picasso directed the film which includes actors from different age groups.

The cast of the film includes Sanjay Dutt and Namashi Chakraborty and Amit Sadh and Sameera Reddy and Neetu Chandra and Tridha Choudhury and Mrinal Kulkarni and Nikhil Nanda and Archana Iyer and Bipin Nadkarni.

The film is produced by Nikhil Nanda and Sanjay Dutt under the banners of Nikhil Nanda Motion Pictures and Neem Tree Entertainment. Utkarsh Naithani wrote the screenplay and script and dialogues while Monty Sharma composed the music and Kumar Vishwas wrote the lyrics.

Aakhri Sawal was scheduled to be released on 15 May at one point and earlier it finally scheduled 8 May almost the last month.
