Ektaa Kapoor credits Akshay Kumar for boosting film industry growth

Indian television and film producer Ektaa Kapoor had praised actor Akshay Kumar for his strong work discipline and his habit of doing multiple films in a year.
She had also shared appreciation for veteran actors like Jeetendra and Dharmendra, saying their work style had helped the industry grow and stay active.
She had shared pictures of Akshay with her father Jeetendra on social media and had written a long note about discipline and trust in the film industry.
In her message, she had written, “This picture of Dad and Akshay Sir reminds me exactly of what discipline can do. Their belief in the producer’s conviction and mutual respect is wonderful.”
The Lootera producer had also said that people often questioned why Akshay did several films in a year. She had explained that this working style had helped many producers and had kept the industry active.
She had written, “These men are the reason the commerce of our industry is alive. For an industry to grow, actors must work regularly so that every producer gets a chance.”
She had further added that regular work by actors had created more opportunities for technicians, producers, and teams across the industry.
In another part of her note, she had said, “In volume, there is job creation. That is what they bring to the table.”

Meanwhile, Akshay ’s recent film Bhooth Bangla had received a positive response at the box office. The film had been directed by Priyadarshan and had featured Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, Jisshu Sengupta, and Wamiqa Gabbi.
The film had also marked a reunion between Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan, who had earlier worked together on several hit films.
