As anticipation builds around The Summer I Turned Pretty movie, Prime Video is sending a firm warning to fans eager to catch a glimpse of filming.

Filming is officially underway for the hit teen drama’s follow up movie after season three came to an end last year, and behind-the-scenes leaked set photos and cast videos are already making waves across social platforms.

Now the streamer is urging fans to respect their privacy while shooting for the upcoming film.

"We love the excitement, but sharing locations and visiting set disrupts filming and creates real safety concerns for our cast and crew," Amazon MGM Studios, Prime Video and the show’s official account wrote in a joint post on Instagram on May 5.

Continuing, "We’re working hard to create a protected bubble to make the best movie possible. Please help us protect the magic of Cousins until it’s ready to be shared."

The captioned accompanied a short video which had "privacy please" written out in the sand.

"Thank you for saying this! I can’t believe people can’t respect the privacy of filming," a fan commented.

"This is why we can’t have nice things," another said.

However, this isn’t the first time Prime Video had to issue a warning.

Before the Prime Video series returned for its third season on July 16, 2025, the streamer issued a pointed message on Instagram requesting fans"keep the conversation kind" and avoid harassing the cast online.
