A new update from the film industry suggested that Indian actors Janhvi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor were likely to share screen space in an upcoming film directed by Amit Sharma.

According to Indian media reports, Janhvi is currently in talks to feature in the film as the female protagonist. If finalised, it would have marked her first on-screen collaboration with Shahid Kapoor. The film was described as a light, comedy-based relationship story focusing on modern emotional themes.

A report had stated, “Janhvi Kapoor is currently in advanced discussions to come on board as the female lead.”

The project was reportedly planned to begin shooting in the latter part of 2026, after Shahid completed work on his other commitments, including Farzi 2 with Raj & DK.

Meanwhile, Shahid’s upcoming lineup also included films like Cocktail 2 in which he was supposed to play the lead along with Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna. The film was said to explore modern relationship and emotional conflict.

Further sources also confirmed that Shahid was under discussion for some major projects whereas Janhvi Kapoor was all set for her next project Peddi starring opposite Ram Charan.
