Neetu Kapoor recently recalled a heartwarming moment with her son Ranbir Kapoor ahead of the release of her film Daadi Ki Shaadi.

The 67-year-old actress, mother of the Rockstar actor, shared that Ranbir was worried about her during the India-Pakistan conflict while she was shooting in Shimla.

During her conversation with Kapil Sharma, the actor-comedian took a trip down memory lane and highlighted the struggles they faced while shooting the film.

Reflecting on the India-Pakistan conflict of May 2025, he said, “So many things happened during the making of this film. The war had started, and the situation had become very serious at that time. I think Ranbir had called you.”

In response, Neetu reflected on her heartwarming conversation with the Animal actor.

“Yes,” she added. “Ranbir called me and said, ‘Mumma, please come back.’ But I told him, ‘This is the safest place right now; nobody is going to drop bombs here.’”

Riddhima Kapoor, who made her debut in the upcoming project, also recalled her experience.

Speaking alongside Neetu, Riddhima said, “The film has been made with so much love that nobody wanted to leave midway and go back.”

Ashish R. Mohan’s directorial, which also stars Kapil Sharma, is slated for release on Friday, May 8.
