Riteish Deshmukh recently expressed pride amid the successful theatrical run of Raja Shivaji.

The 47-year-old actor, who is currently experiencing a major career high, called his ongoing success a blessing.

During an exclusive conversation with Press Trust of India, Deshmukh said, “I feel relieved because this ten-year journey was pretty long. Many times, one gave up on it, but it came back to you. Had it started in 2016, this would not have been the same film; it would have had a different star cast.”

In addition, the actor said he was determined to invest more time in the project, making it bigger and more ambitious.

“The fact that it started in 2023 changed the vision a bit, perspectives changed, and then we thought, why not make it slightly bigger and more ambitious?”

Riteish also appreciated the efforts of his better half, Genelia D'Souza, who put her heart and soul into bringing Bollywood stars together under one roof.

For the unversed, the film features a star-studded cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, and Salman Khan in a cameo appearance.
