Akshay Kumar undergoes minor surgery amid busy schedule

Actor Akshay Kumar is enjoying the success of his recent release Bhoot Bangla and has just finished a shooting schedule for his upcoming film with Vidya Balan.
At the same time, the 58-year-old star is reportedly dealing with some health concerns.
According to media reports, the Khiladi star underwent a minor eye surgery in Mumbai after wrapping up the Keralam schedule of his upcoming film with director Anees Bazmee.
Following the treatment, he is said to be taking a short break to recover amid a packed work schedule.
Quoting a source close to the development, Hindustan Times reported that the procedure took place on Wednesday morning, May 6, and was done for vision correction.
The source said, “It was a minor surgery carried out on the morning of May 6. It was for vision correction. Akshay will now take a brief break and recuperate since he has also completed the Kerala schedule of his next film with Anees Bazmee.”
The actor had shared a short video with Vidya Balan when he headed to Kerala for the shoot, and after wrapping up the schedule, he also posted updates on Instagram.
The film marks the Sky Force actor and Vidya’s reunion after several successful collaborations over the years. It also brings Akshay back together with Bazmee after nearly 15 years.
His reunion with director Priyadarshan for Bhoot Bangla has reportedly earned more than Rs 232 crore at the worldwide box office.
Meanwhile, Akshay has multiple projects in the pipeline, including Welcome To The Jungle, Haiwaan, Golmaal 5, and the Marathi film Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat.
