The weekend offers viewers multiple binge watching options which include the rap world drama Lukkhe, the romantic action film Dacoit: A Love Story and the emotional conclusion of Love Mocktail 3.

Major streaming platforms like Netflix Amazon Prime Video ZEE5 and JioHotstar are introducing new movies and series which they present in various languages. The latest OTT releases in India for this week include two complete new shows.

New OTT releases this week

Lukkhe

The upcoming musical action and drama series Lukkhe will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video from its release date on May 8 2026. The show marks the acting debut of popular rapper King who stars in this production which Himank Gaur directed and Vipul D. Shah produced. The story follows a young man who infiltrates a drug syndicate while trying to extract information about the operation to face off against Punjab's dangerous rap scene. The series showcases an outstanding cast that includes Raashii Khanna, Lakshvir Singh Saran, Palak Tiwari and Shivankit Singh Parihar who will deliver a thrilling combination of musical elements and criminal activities and dramatic performances.

Dacoit

The film Dacoit: A Love Story will begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video on May 8 2026 after its theatrical release which is scheduled for April 10. The neo Western romantic action drama which Shaneil Deo directed includes Anurag Kashyap as one of its main actors. The plot follows a convict who escapes from prison to seek revenge against his former girlfriend who betrayed him which resulted in his lengthy incarceration.

Love Mocktail 3

Love Mocktail 3 will be available for streaming on ZEE5 starting May 8, 2026 after its theatrical debut which begins on March 19. The movie which Darling Krishna directed and starred in together with Milana Nagaraj represents the concluding part of the popular franchise. The film shows how Adi experiences his emotional development through his transition into adulthood while he learns about love and loss and becomes a father.

Mohiniyattam

The Malayalam comedy and thriller Bharathanatyam 2: Mohiniyattam will make its Netflix debut on May 8 2026. The sequel to Bharathanatyam which Krishnadas Murali directed presents a darker narrative that combines criminal elements with suspenseful moments and comedic content. Sasidharan Nair and his family attempt to resolve their deceased relative's affairs but discover unexpected concealed truths which lead them into a criminal world. The film stars Saiju Kurup, alongside Suraj Venjaramoodu, Jagadish and Vinay Forrt and will stream in Malayalam with subtitles along with multiple dubbed versions.

Vaazha 2 — Biopic of Billion Bros

The movie Vaazha II: Biopic of a Billion Bros will make its exclusive JioHotstar OTT debut on May 8 2026. The Malayalam blockbuster features Hashir H, Alan Bin Siraj, Ajin Joy and Vinayak V. in its lead roles. The film will be available for streaming in its original Malayalam version after its successful theatrical run which includes dubbed content in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada to reach more viewers.
