Sonam Kapoor shares emotional anniversary post for Anand Ahuja
Sonam Kapoor reflects on marriage, parenthood and growth as she marked 8th wedding anniversary with Anand Ahuja
Actress Sonam Kapoor is celebrating her eighth wedding anniversary with husband Anand Ahuja and shared an emotional message for him on social media.
The two got married in May 2018 in Mumbai in a traditional Sikh Anand Karaj ceremony after being in a relationship for several years.
Earlier this year, the couple welcomed their second son on March 29. They are already parents to Vayu Kapoor Ahuja, who was born in August 2022.
The 40-year-old posted a video on Instagram that included old clips from their dating days, moments from their wedding, and family memories with their children.
Along with the video, she wrote, "A decade with you. Eight years married. Three cities. Three homes. Two beautiful boys. Countless dreams built from scratch.
So many risks taken, lessons learnt, businesses created, failures survived, victories celebrated and moments where we held each other a little tighter through the uncertainty of it all.
And somehow, through every version of life we’ve lived together, one thing has only become more certain…my love, respect and compassion for you have only grown deeper."
She also shared that Anand continues to be the first person she wants to talk to every morning and the one she wants beside her at the end of the day. Sonam called him “the calm in my chaos” and said he makes her feel “safest, strongest and most myself.”
"Ten years later, I love you more gently, more intentionally and more completely than I knew was possible when we first began. Thank you for building this life with me.
For the laughter, the friendship, the resilience, the family and the kind of love that evolves instead of fades. There’s nobody else I’d rather do this life with. Happy anniversary my love," added the Neerja star.
On the professional side, Sonam was last seen in the 2023 crime thriller Blind. The movie is the Hindi remake of the 2011 Korean film with the same title and also featured Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak and Lillete Dubey.
The film was directed by Shome Makhija and produced by Sujoy Ghosh. It also marked Sonam’s return to films after a six-year gap following The Zoya Factor.
