Sonam Kapoor reveals her second son’s name
Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand Ahuja introduce baby Rudralokh in a heartwarming post
Actor Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand Ahuja introduced their second son through a beautiful naming ceremony.
The couple welcomed their baby boy earlier this year on March 29 and, through the recent Instagram post, revealed that his name is Rudralokh Kapoor Ahuja.
Along with a series of close family moments, they shared how special his birth felt to them on a spiritual level.
The couple described his arrival as a "divine pairing" with their elder son, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja.
In the caption, the two also opened up about the deeper meaning behind the name Rudralokh. Referring to Vedic traditions, they explained that “Rudra” comes from the Sanskrit word rud, meaning “to roar,” and symbolises power, healing, change, and renewal.
They further wrote that Rudra is “the mightiest of the mighty” and “the divine force behind storms, breath, healing, and renewal.” The couple also connected the meaning of the name to their older son Vayu, describing the strong spiritual link between Rudra and Vayu, the life force or prana believed to flow through all living beings.
Ending the heartfelt note, they wrote, "Like his name, may Rudra grow to be fearless, compassionate, deeply aware, and a force of strength and light."
The intimate ceremony also turned into a stylish family moment. The Kapoor-Ahuja family wore coordinated ivory and sage-green outfits designed by Anamika Khanna, giving the entire celebration a soft pastel vibe.
The 40-year-old actress looked graceful in a mint-green lehenga styled with a structured kurta and matching dupatta. Her outfit featured subtle floral embroidery in muted shades of lavender, blue, and ochre, which added a soft festive touch.
Styled by her sister Rhea Kapoor along with Manisha Melwani and Abhilasha Devnani, Sonam kept her makeup minimal with glowing skin, pearl-drop accessories, and a neat bun decorated with blue hydrangeas.
Meanwhile, Anand Ahuja kept things simple in an ivory kurta-pyjama set, while little Vayu and baby Rudralokh matched the family theme in coordinated ethnic outfits in sage and ivory tones.
