Emraan Hashmi will return to the big screen after his special performance in The Ba***ds Of Bollywood by starring in Gunmaaster G9 which he plans to release.

The action packed film also stars Genelia Deshmukh and Aparshakti Khurana in key roles and marks Emraan's reunion with filmmaker Aditya Datt nearly two decades after their earlier collaboration.

Producer Deepak Mukut shared information about the film release schedule while he discussed how his previous production The Bhootnii performed.

The producers of Gunmaaster G9 are evaluating Dussehra 2026 as a potential release date for their movie.

The producer confirmed that October 16 serves as the main release date but the team continues to evaluate October 9 as an alternative. Mukut explained their timing strategy because the team wants to select a time that would increase their chances of connecting with audiences when fewer major movies are being released.

Mukut described the movie Gunmaaster G9 as a mass action film which targets audiences who liked Emraan Hashmi's mid-2000s film work. The film's music and action sequences together with its complete production will attract young viewers according to him.

During the interaction with the publication Deepak Mukut also opened up about the difficulties faced by his previous film The Bhootnii. While discussing the film’s performance he admitted that the project suffered because of screen-sharing problems during its release period.

The producer made a statement about audience reactions which showed positive results for the film in every location where it achieved public showings. The film would have achieved better box office results according to him because it needed more public screenings.

Deepak shared his experience which showed him to plan release strategies with more care for upcoming projects which include Gunmaaster G9.
