The ER star reveals season 3 production starts very soon
Noah Wyle has offered fans an early glimpse into what to expect from season three of The Pitt as production gears up to begin.
The actor appeared alongside co-star Katherine LaNasa at the Warner Bros. Upfronts, where he confirmed filming on the new season is set to start soon.
“We’re about to start production on Season 3,” Wyle revealed during the presentation. “It’s set in early November, just before the holidays, ushering in a whole new set of emergencies and confrontations and complications.”
While Wyle did not specify which holiday period the season would centre around, the timeline has sparked speculation among fans over whether the story could tie into Veterans Day or Thanksgiving.
Veteran-related storylines have already played a major role in the series through characters including Dr. Jack Abbot, played by Shawn Hatosy, and season two newcomer Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi, portrayed by Sepideh Moafi.
Season two also introduced Duke Ekins, played by Jeff Kober, a military veteran and longtime friend of Wyle’s Dr. Robby.
Executive producer John Wells previously confirmed that work in the writers’ room began in March. He also shared plans for the series to return in January next year with a 15-episode season.
