When a photo of Abhishek Bachchan appeared online on Thursday, claiming to be leaked from the set of his upcoming film King, no one was shocked, and there’s a reason behind it.

Last week, a picture of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone from the film set made rounds on the internet, prompting a request from the makers not to circulate any glimpses and to wait to see the team’s hard work on the cinema screen.

But despite the request, a clip of  the Jawan duo performing in a song sequence by the seaside was also leaked online and created a huge buzz.

That’s the reason why, when a picture of Abhishek Bachchan, reportedly playing an antagonist in the film, surfaced online, people thought it was another leak from the action drama.

However, an industry insider reacted to the claims and completely denied the speculations.

The source said, "Abhishek Bachchan is currently travelling for ETPL and has been in Ireland for the same. The images of him from the sets of King that are circulating online are completely fake."

Directed by Sidharth Anand, the film also features Suhana Khan, Arshad Warsi, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Akshay Oberoi, Raghav Juyal, Abhay Verma, Rani Mukerji and Jaideep Ahlawat, among others.

This marks Shah Rukh's daughter Suhana Khan's theatrical debut after her film debut with the 2024 Netflix film The Archies.
