Drake reignites feud culture with unexpected DJ Khaled jab
The ‘God’s Plan’ singer sparks backlash after targeting DJ Khaled on ‘Iceman’
Drake has taken a brutal dig at fellow rapper and frequent collaborator DJ Khaled in his recently released ninth studio album, Iceman.
The 39-year-old Canadian rapper and singer called out the 50-year-old Palestinian-American musician in the album’s seventh track, Make Them Pay, criticising him for remaining silent on the Palestine-Israel conflict.
"And, Khaled, you know what I mean / The beef was fully live, you went halal and got on your deen / And your people are still waitin' for a free Palestine / But apparently everything isn't black and white and red and green, damn / I'm seein' everyone's true colors, for real, I'm sensin' a theme," Drake raps on the track.
Despite his Palestinian heritage through his immigrant parents, DJ Khaled has yet to comment on the lyrics.
Besides DJ Khaled, Drake’s latest album allegedly also takes aim at fellow stars including Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, and LeBron James.
Inside Drake’s first solo era since Kendrick Lamar fallout
