Maya Hawke reflected on her Valentine’s Day nuptials with Christian Lee Hutson and revealed the biggest takeaway from her special day.

During a candid conversation with PEOPLE, the 27-year-old actress and singer-songwriter revealed that while her wedding day was "wonderful," she wishes she had focused more on herself instead of constantly worrying about whether guests were having a good time.

"Be selfish. Because I worried so much about how everyone else's experience was going to go that I'd worked myself into a total tizzy, and then it happened, and I had a great time, and everyone had a great time. I didn't need to worry as much as I did," Hawke said.

She admitted that she could have spent more quality time enjoying the moment but instead ruined it by constantly worrying about the guests.

The Stranger Things star added, "I wasted a lot of energy being so worried, so if I had any advice, it would be worry less. It's going to be great. Everyone's there to support you, do whatever you want. Don't kill yourself trying to make everybody else happy, just make yourself happy."

This is not the first time Hawke has shed light on her wedding or married life, as she previously revealed  that things had been "absolutely fantastic" for her so far.

"I'm a very, very lucky person who's very happy right now, and yeah, couldn't be more grateful," she told PEOPLE in March 2026.
