Pep Guardiola to part ways with Manchester City after 10 years
The famous football manager is set to leave the club
Spanish football manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly parting ways with Manchester City after a ten year long stint.
Guardiola is expected to leave the club at the end of this season, as per multiple outlets.
As per BBC, the frontrunner to replace him is the former Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca.
The 55-year-old has won a jaw-dropping 17 major trophies with City since he arrived in English soccer in 2016.
He worked with Barcelona from 2008 to 2012 and moved to Bayern Munich in 2013, where he worked until 2016.
Pep also boasts the achievement of winning the winning the Premier League-Champions League-FA Cup treble in the 2022-23 season.
With Pep, City has won the Premier League six times.
He is often dubbed as the “genius who changed English football”.
The news has left the fans of the football club upset. One user wrote on X “What a man. For me the greatest coach ever.”
The official announcement of his departure is exected later this week.
