Ranveer Singh 'Don 3' dispute reaches final stage as FWICE meets today
As of now, neither Ranveer Singh nor the makers had released any fresh statement regarding the expected FWICE decision
A fresh update emerged in the ongoing Don 3 controversy as the Federation of Western India Cine Employees prepared to announce its decision regarding Indian actor Ranveer Singh and his exit from the film.
The issue had remained in discussion for months after reports claimed that the Bajirao Mastani actor stepped away from the project despite being attached to it for a long period.
According to Indian media reports, the matter later reached FWICE after filmmaker Farhan Akhtar and the production side raised concerns over the sudden exit.
Several meetings had reportedly taken place before the final discussion scheduled for Monday afternoon. Reports stated that the board planned to reveal its decision later in the day.
A source quoted in media reports said, “Everybody agreed that this cannot become a pattern. If actors begin exiting projects days before schedules begin, smaller producers will collapse under the pressure.”
The report further stated that the organisation had also discussed creating a formal structure to discourage sudden exits from films after commitments had already been made.
The controversy had started in December 2025 when reports claimed that Ranveer Singh walked away from Don 3. Media reports suggested that changes in the script became one of the reasons behind the decision.
The timing of the exit had also drawn attention because it came after the success of Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar.
Don 3 had officially been announced in 2024 as the next film in the popular franchise. The project had generated strong online discussion after Ranveer Singh was introduced as the new lead. Later, Kiara Advani was announced as the female lead in the film.
As of now, neither Ranveer Singh nor the makers had released any fresh statement regarding the expected FWICE decision.
