Ahana Deol gets emotional as Hema Malini receives Dharmendra's Padma Vibhushan at Awards 2026.

The 40-year-old actress, who is the youngest daughter of Hema Malini and Dharmendra, was spotted in tears during the event.

On Monday, May 25, the Baghban star accepted Dharmendra's posthumous Padma Vibhushan award.

As the 77-year-old actress accepted the accolade, Ahana was spotted breaking down as she clapped.

In an exclusive conversation with Hindustan Times, Malini shared about her feeling ahead of the show.

Speaking to the outlet, she said, "It's an emotional moment for me. Ahana is with me, Esha wanted to come but could not make it here. The entire family is happy. Sunny, Bobby, everyone is aware of this and it's a big moment for all of us."

Earlier in January, the Baabul star announced the legend's achievement.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), she penned, "So so proud that the govt has recognised Dharam ji's immense contribution to the film industry by bestowing on him the prestigious Padma Vibhushan Award.

It is pertinent to mention that the Sholay actor received his first Padma honour in 2012 for his countless contributions to the Indian cinema.

For the unversed, Dharmendra passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025.
