As fans continue waiting for the release date of Golmaal 5, actor Tusshar Kapoor has shared a fresh update from the sets of one of the most loved comedy films of Bollywood.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, the 49-year-old said around “80-90% of the shoot is over” and called the filming process a “joyride”.

Tusshar, who returns as Lucky in the franchise, also praised director Rohit Shetty for his nonstop work ethic.

“Rohit Shetty is the hardest-working director I’ve ever worked with. There’s no one who’s as serious and professional about his work as him,” the Shootout at Wadala actor said.

He added, “We are working day and night, and when we get tired, we realise that this man was here before we came on the set and he’s going to be here even when we leave.”

But what caught attention was the Good Boy, Bad Boy star talking about how Lucky’s unusual way of speaking was actually developed after he joined the film years ago.

“He was envisioned by writer Neeraj Vora as a silent character,” Tusshar explained, adding that theatre actor Vikas Kadam later suggested the character should make sounds instead of using sign language.

The actor said the idea gave Lucky a more “brattish” and “badass” personality.

Along with Ajay Devgn, the film also stars Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade and Akshay Kumar, whose addition has added fresh excitement around the comedy franchise.
