Janhvi Kapoor reflects on life after Sridevi’s death: 'It's never not going to hurt'
Janhvi Kapoor opens up about following Sridevi's legacy
Janhvi Kapoor has opened up about losing her mother Sridevi, as she reflected on leading a life without the late actress.
In an exclusive interview with Times Now, the Mili star spoke at length about losing her mother at an early age and how grief took a toll on her mental health.
She told the outlet, "Let's be pragmatic. It's a fact that no one can be her." She went on to explain that nobody is genuinely expecting her to reach Sridevi's level.
Speaking highly of her late mother, Janhvi said that it is impossible to match Sridevi's aura; however, the actress is adamant about carrying forward her legacy.
"The comparison is more in the tonality of, 'Can she live up to what her mother created?' I think even that is an impossibility."
She added, "It's never not going to hurt.
"My endeavour is just to honour her legacy, do what I can to take it forward. I am just grateful for the opportunities that I get because it makes me happy, and it keeps her memory alive as well."
In addition, Janhvi highlighted that despite her back-to-back successful projects, the void left by her mother can never be filled by anyone else.
On professional front, the actress is currently gearing up for her upcoming film Peddi, starring Ram Charan in the lead role.
