Tom Hanks unveils first reaction when offered 'Toy Story 5'
'Toy Story 5' reunites Tom Hanks with Tim Allen after seven years
Tom Hanks has unveiled what made him jump into Toy Story 5 without even questioning.
For the unversed, the legendary actor has been voicing the character of Sheriff Woody ever since the inception of the franchise by Pixar in 1995. He is once again returning to reprise the role in the fifth installment coming out this year.
The 69-year-old, while talking about his return at the launch event for Toy Story 5, told Press Association when he was offered to comeback as Woody, Tom immediately said yes without even asking a single question.
The Forrest Gump star confessed, "I trust the folks at Pixar so much that when they say, ‘Hey, we have an idea for the next Toy Story movie’, I don’t ask any questions.
"I just show up and say, ‘What do you need from Woody, and I will try to bring it forth for you”, he added.
According to Hanks, when director Andrew Stanton asked, ‘you can do anything that you want to here, what do you think?’. He said, ‘I think there’s another Toy Story here’.
All the folks at Pixar and the makers were surprised to hear about the renewal of the franchise for a new sequel.
Toy Story 5 will not only bring back Tom as Woody, but Tim Allen will also be reprising the character of Buzz Lightyear. The film is officially set to release on June 19.
