Richie Moriarty 'nervous' about his future on 'Ghosts'
'Ghosts' season 5 finale ends on a major cliffhanger
After the shocking finale of Ghosts, fans are left wondering for one of the Ghosts’ living in the Woodstone residence fate.
The season 5 finale of CBS’ Ghosts ended with a major surprise as the endlessly optimistic Pete, played by Richie Moriarty, vanished without a trace after being away from the residence for longer than expected.
After bringing the lovable Pete Martino to life since Ghosts premiered in 2021, Richie Moriarty is just as eager as fans to learn what comes next for his character; though he admits he's preparing for the possibility that the news may not be good.
In chat with Variety, the 46-year-old actor and comedian shared an update on the show, saying, "They got back in the writers’ room about a week ago, and they’re trying to figure it."
Continuing, "Everyone, the whole cast is a little nervous, including myself, obviously. We’re five seasons into this show, and we haven’t yet lost any of the main eight ghosts. I think at a certain point, as hard as it may be, you do kind of have to lose someone to keep the stakes of the show feeling real. So, I don’t know what they’re going to decide to do. I’m anxiously awaiting the news! I hope for my sake that it’s not Pete, but we’ll see.”
