'Euphoria' officially not returning for season 4
'Euphoria' season 3 concluded on May 31, 2026
After seven years and three seasons, the chapter is officially closing on Euphoria.
Speaking on Popcast, The New York Times' music podcast, HBO creator, writer, and director Sam Levinson broke the news to hosts Joe Coscarelli and Jon Caramanica.
The announcement was also later confirmed by HBO in a statement to Variety.
“In terms of the story that we set out to tell, which is a story about addiction and its consequences, this feels like the end to me," he stated.
Although fans may not be shocked by the news, as Zendaya, who played Rue on the hit show, has previously shared that she thought the show’s third season would be its last.
Signs that the series was nearing its end had been evident for years.
A lengthy four-year gap separated seasons two and three during which Zendaya and several of her castmates saw their careers skyrocket, filling their schedules with major film projects and high-profile commitments.
The series finale of Euphoria hit screens on May 31.
