Anna Kendrick is expanding her creative range once again.

This time she is taking on director’s chair for The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, as per Deadline.

After the success of her directorial debut Woman of the Hour, the 40-year-old actress is teaming up with Netflix once again.

This time she will bring a major new adaptation in the studio’s pipeline to life.

Sources came forward and revealed to the outlet that the Pitch Perfect star is set to direct an adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s novel The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.

Adapted from Taylor's New York Times bestseller, the story centers on a young journalist’s exclusive interview with legendary actress Evelyn Hugo, as she unpacks the truth behind her seven marriages and the scandals that defined her Hollywood rise.

The film will be produced by Liza Chasin through 3Dot Productions, alongside Brad Mendelsohn of Circle Management + Productions and David Hinojosa.

First revealed in March 2022 after Netflix secured the rights, the film is executive-produced by author of the best selling novel Taylor Jenkins Reid.
