Brooke Shields has reflected on her cameo in the iconic sitcom Friends.

The actress starred in a 1996 episode of the show titled “The One After the Super Bowl”.

The 61-year-old played a stalker who believes Joey is actually the soap opera character he plays on television.

The episode also featured Julia Roberts, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Fred Willard and Dan Castellaneta.

While speaking on the June 1 episode of The Bossticks podcast, she said she was acting alongside “the Julia Roberts of the world and people who were huge movie stars, and I was able to hold my own”.

Brooke said the experience allowed her to “hold my own” in a highly competitive industry.

Referring to one of the scenes when she licks Joey’s finger, she said “And I had one of the funniest parts written in the whole episode”.

The actress said it was “crazy” even though the showrunners did not let her do it at first but later gave in and agreed.

She said the scene “just changed everything. It got me my own television show, and it allowed me to really kind of delve in with comedy chops.”
