Joe Jonas has subtly opened up about his co-parenting dynamic with his former wife, Sophie Turner.

Speaking on the Jonas Brothers’ Hey Jonas! podcast, the 36-year-old American singer-songwriter and actor praised the 30-year-old British actress for being a cooperative co-parent while reflecting on the joy their daughters have brought into his life.

​"I’m a single dad and I co-parent with my children’s mother. And so, um, I think my children have given me purpose again in my life," Jonas said.

He continued, "I think having them, the reason I do what I do now, and, you know, you go to work, our work, it happens to be we’re grateful that it’s what we love so much. But also, knowing that I get to work hard if I’m not with them and go back to my shared time where I get to be with them, it makes it so much better to work that much harder."

The Heart by Heart hitmaker revealed how even thinking about a warm hug from his daughters helps ease his struggles.

"I think in my saddest moments, I’m able to be reminded quickly that a hug from them can solve the world’s problems in my in my own world, and I know I’m not hyper unique. There’s a lot of people in my situation that are single parents and go through this," he explained.

Giving credit where it’s due, Jonas applauded the Game of Thrones star for her support as a co-parent and for making his journey as a single father easier.

​"I’m grateful that I have a co-parent that I can balance even the bad days, but I think being able to have good people around me to kind of help me navigate it is really special," he added.

In the end, the Camp Rock actor noted that his children have taught him a valuable lesson: even on the toughest days, he will be okay.
