Russo Brothers addresses future of MCU after 'Doomsday'
Russo Brothers have made a surprising revelation ahead of the Avengers: Doomsday release.
The upcoming action sci-fi movie is going to reunite Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Tom Hiddleston, Benedict Cumberbatch against Robert Downey Jr’s Doctor Doom.
Allegedly, the team of Avengers will be up against Doom, who will try to take over the multiverse.
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo recently appeared at the SXSW London event, where they disclosed that fans can expect some shifting, changing and surprises in Doomsday as according to the them, the film will take back the Marvel Cinematic Universe to “phase zero.”
Joe stated at the event, "That serial shifting and changing and surprising you and then reinventing itself and then shifting and changing and then surprising you – that's exciting and I think you're going to see some shifting and changing (with Doomsday).
The 54-year-old filmmaker also shared that he spoke to Downey about the concept of taking the MCU back to phase zero.
Russo added, "So, get ready for it. Look, we were with Rob (Downey Jr.) earlier today. We were both talking about this concept that we are back to phase zero. This is starting over from scratch. We want to make sure everybody feels like this isn't leaning on anything from the past."
Avengers: Doomsday is coming out in theatres on December 18.
