Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’ idol sparks trolls; Fans forced to issue public apology
Ram Charan fans apologise after ‘Peddi’-inspired idol gets trolled: ‘Whose statue is this?’
Ram Charan’s fans wanted to do something special to show their love for him a head of Peddi’s release but in the end their little token of admiration ended up inviting trolling as soon as it was unveiled.
Ram’s fans placed an idol of him at Arjun Theatre in Kukatpally yet the internet quickly pointed out that it looks nothing like him. One team member tried to defend the setup even while the fans put out a public apology turned into a whole mess and not the sweet one they expected.
Kukatpally fans of Ram went ahead and put up an idol of him at Arjun Theatre and then they invited the President of RC Yuvashakthi who also produces films like Ninnu Veedani Needanu Nene, A1 Express and Michael plus a member from the actor’s team Pasupulati Siva aka Siva Cherry for the unveiling.
The idol seems modeled on the actor’s look from his upcoming film Peddi but it kinda ended up getting trolled for the appearance. Lots of people started saying it looked nothing like the actor. The comments were pretty harsh in tone.
Some people thought the idol looked a lot more like Malayalam actor Joju Georgethan Ram or the Telugu actor Naveen Chandra.
Others also said the idol seemed closer to Siva himself than Ram. “Super Anna, entaki adhi evari vigraham? (Super brother, by the way, whose idol is that?)” a user on X, formerly Twitter, wrote with clear sarcasm.
“Vallu cheyinchina vigraham Suryavardhan @AlwaysRamCharan di Kani akkada unna vigraham Garudadi @eyrahul (They tried to make Ram Charan’s idol and ended up making Rahul Ramakrishna’s).”
