British actor Robert Pattinson has revealed how he landed Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, which one of the most anticipated movies of the year.

The actor revealed he was the only person out of the entire star-studded cast who insisted he wanted to read the script first before joining the team.

Nolan’s movies are some of the most sought after projects for all actors who jump in the gig without reading too much ahead but Robert has his own ways.

Speaking with GQ, he revealed that when he was offered the role he responded with “cant wait to read it”, which caught Nolan off-guard.

The Oscar-winning director said “You want to read it? Everyone else just said yes.”

The movie stars some of the biggest names including Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Tom Holland and many more.

The story follows the journey of Greek king Odysseus, played by Matt, as he makes his way home after the Trojan war.

Robert plays Antinous, the antagonist who is on his quest to steal the throne and marry Odysseus’ wife Penelope.

The Odyssey hits theaters on July 17.
