Shakira has opened up about her life after separation from Gerard Pique.

The former couple dated for more than a decade before they eventually parted ways in 2022 after the footballer allegedly was unfaithful towards the pop star.

Now, the Waka Waka singer has revealed that it was her sons who helped her get through the tough phase.

In conversation with People, Shakira reflected on the time saying “When your world collapses, you have to get up and pay the bills and still prepare breakfast and take your kids to school. Life needs to go on.”

She added “The moment I became a mother, I saw life through a different perspective, and my kids are not only the best thing that happened to me, but I’ve learned so much from them every day.”

Her son Milan is 13 and Sasha just turned 11.

The singer said she is only looking forward to raise her sons now.

Speaking about her kids, she said “Through those challenging moments, I discovered how resilient we all are.”

The singer recently dropped her FIFA 2026 song Dai Dai and is set to perform at the first ever half time show in the final of the tournament.
