Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow eye sitcom reunion with Courteney Cox
‘Girlfriends. Let’s pitch it,’ Aniston and Kudrow are ready for another sitcom with Courteney
The ’90s iconic sitcom Friends’ girl cast is ready to reunite for another sitcom.
The conversation came up during Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow’s appearance on Variety’s Actors on Actors series, where they recalled their chemistry in the beloved '90s comedy series and the multi-cam format.
“That was such lightning in a bottle, the chemistry of all of us,” Aniston reflected on working on the show. “And the writers played off of us and our relationships, which were truly genuine. Do you miss multi-cam?”
“When I’m sitting on a set waiting and it’s been a long time? Yes, I do,” Kudrow replied.
Aniston conceded she loved that medium, and the audience too.
“I didn’t love the audience, but I would now,” Kudrow said before looking into the camera and using Valerie Cherish’s voice. “I would love you, if you would want me on a sitcom.”
Aniston agreed, “It was so great. We had a life at the same time.”
“I would love to do another one, if anyone wrote a good one,” proposed Kudrow. “Let’s do it. You heard it here!”
Excited and curious, Aniston asked what it could be. That’s when Kudrow proposed; it can be with the two and their third female co-star, Courtney Cox.
“Girlfriends. Let’s pitch it,” Aniston exclaimed. “Let’s workshop it in front of all of these wonderful people.”
