Ariana Grande has delighted fans by sharing insights into the making of her recently released song, i hate that i made you love me.
On Wednesday, June 3, the 32-year-old singer-songwriter and actress took to her Instagram handle to unveil behind-the-scenes footage from the recording of the lead single of her forthcoming eighth studio album, Petal.
Grande revealed the first-ever melody pass of hate that i made you love me, mentioning that it was recorded on day one of work on her album.
“My very first melody pass for hate that I made you love me … ! ꕤ :’)” she captioned the post.
The Dangerous Woman star also revisited the moment she began working on her new album.
She added, “Days like this are… the most magical thing in the world to me. This was the first day we worked on Petal and we sincerely never slept again hehe. I love making things so much. I love making things with @ilya_music and max.”
“I just… love making things. I love Petal and this single and you all very much. Thank you for everything,” she remarked.
Grande released her single hate that i made you love me on May 29, 2026, with the music video featuring actor Justin Long debuting on June 1.
